Uwchlan Ambulance Corps Announces New Staff Appointments Including Kathi Cozzone as Executive Director

(Exton, PA) —Uwchlan Ambulance Corps (UAC) has announced new directors including Kathi Cozzone as executive director of the nonprofit committed to protecting the health of families and communities in Chester County through live-saving emergency medical services, professional training and public education.

Cozzone first joined UAC in 2009 as a community board member.  Kathi most recently served as County Commissioner from 2007 – 2019, was  Vice Chair of the Board of Commissioners from 2011- 2019 and served on several state commissions. She received a BS in Accounting from the College of New Jersey and has over 20 years of financial management experience in several industries. UAC also announced they have welcomed Cynthia Jaros as their new director of development. She brings over 20 years of nonprofit development experience and previously served with various healthcare groups as well as the Chester County Fund for Women and Girls and Brandywine Red Clay Alliance. A Chester County native, she graduated from Villa Maria Academy, holds a BS degree from Rutgers University and serves as a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Uwchlan Ambulance Corps Uwchlan Ambulance Corps (UAC) was founded in 1974 by volunteers as a nonprofit corporation. UAC’s service area covers eight townships providing lifesaving emergency care to over 65,000 residents with five ambulances, three responder units and highly trained Paramedics and EMTs who respond to over 3,000 emergency calls 24 hours a day. As part of a Statewide EMS Strike Team, we have responded to disasters in Louisiana, New Jersey and several counties in Pennsylvania.

UAC is a leading training institute in our region and is an approved American Red Cross Training Site, ASHI Training Site, Pennsylvania Department of Health Continuing Education and BLS Certification Institute.  Active in the community, UAC offers many educational opportunities, including programs for youth age 14-18, many of which go on to pursue careers in the healthcare field.
