The Exton Region Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking nominations for its annual Senator Robert J. Thompson Public Service Award, that recognizes a public official who has distinguished himself/herself through his/her service to all or a portion of the Exton Region. All nominations are requested no later than Friday, December 10, 2021.
Robert J. Thompson was an influential public servant for the Exton Region Chamber of Commerce, incorporated on February 22, 1972 by business owners advocating for the Exton Bypass. Senator Thompson contributed to the region as a Chester County Commissioner and State Senator during the three decades it took to complete and open the 5.5 miles of the Exton Bypass on December 22, 1995.
