EXTON, PA (May 21, 2024)—RKL LLP is pleased to announce the admission of Kimberly Karwath, CPA, and Joanne Szupka, CPA, to the firm’s partnership. Karwath and Szupka join the firm’s Exton location as Partners in the Audit Services Group.
“Both Joanne and Kimberly are experts in delivering client-focused assurance solutions,” said RKL CEO Ed Monborne. “Each brings a strong background in helping clients navigate complex compliance issues and will deepen our firm’s bench of trusted advisors.”
With nearly two decades of public accounting experience, Karwath specializes in serving financial institutions and specialty finance entities, from startups to multi-billion-dollar corporations. She will work with the firm’s Financial Services Industry Group to deliver a broad spectrum of services, including traditional assurance, tax and compliance solutions.
Karwath earned her B.S. in Business Administration from Kutztown University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She lives in Kennett Square with her husband and three daughters.
Szupka has more than 25 years of experience in public accounting with a concentration in ERISA audits, catering to single and multiple employers. She will focus on leading engagements, enhancing client service delivery and training in the firm’s Employee Benefit Plan Audit practice.
Szupka holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an accounting concentration from West Virginia University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, where she also serves on the board of directors. She lives in Willow Grove with her partner.
