Chester Springs, PA — May 10, 2025 — The Mill at Anselma is proud to recognize Neha Ananth, a sophomore at Downingtown East High School, for receiving the prestigious President’s Volunteer Service Award for completing more than 100 hours of volunteer service at the historic mill.
Neha has served in a variety of key roles that have made a lasting impact on the Mill and its visitors. Her leadership and creativity have been instrumental in developing and organizing children’s programming, especially during the annual Cider Fest, where she led all children’s activities. In addition, she has contributed to important behind-the-scenes work by assisting with data management and event logistics.
The award, personally signed by the President of the United States, was presented to Neha by Ernie Holling, Chairman of the Mill at Anselma Board of Trustees, in recognition of her exceptional dedication to service and community engagement.

The President’s Volunteer Service Award is a national honor recognizing individuals whose service positively impacts communities across the country. Neha’s work at the Mill not only reflects her own passion for history and education but also helps inspire a new generation of community stewards.
About the Mill
The Mill at Anselma, established in 1747, predates the United States by nearly half a century. Designated a National Historic Landmark in 2005, the Mill operates as an independent, non-profit historic site along Pickering Creek in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania. Spanning 22 acres, the site showcases Chester County’s industrial history, preserving original colonial-era power trains and industrial equipment from the late 1700s to the mid-1900s.
The Mill is open to the public on weekends from April through December and offers educational and entertaining events. It is located at 1730 Conestoga Road, Chester Springs.
