With the addition of Franklin Flood to the Central Penn family, we can service a fairly niche market. Not EVERYONE needs flood insurance, but those who do, deserve proper service, care, and coverage. It also is great that I can now network with other insurance professionals and get them appointed with Franklin so they can offer our services to their clients. It’s a win win.
It has absolutely changed and maybe even defined how I do business. People work with those they know, like, and trust and I have developed such warm relationships with so many community members that do ultimately lead to business. But honestly, that’s not the goal. The goal is to leave the community better off from when I came. And I really feel like I accomplish that with every chamber event.
I really am living the work life balance thing that everyone strives for. I have a wonderful family, a great company, and I happen to make money doing something that betters the lives of others. What more could I ask for? Success is living the life you want.
I had the honor of receiving the Exton Region Chamber of Commerce’s President’s award for 2019 in January 2020. When Laurie called my name I could not believe she had even considered me, and now I have all these citations from local and state officials hanging in my office. In a more humorous story of the award, my mom calls me an “important person” now after receiving it.
Get involved. I am on the steering committee of our chamber’s YPN and we often wonder why so many young professionals do not participate in chamber events or community activities. There are amazing benefits that come from attending just one event, let alone joining a chamber and having access to multiple. I invite any young professional who is hesitant, to join us for one of our YPN events and see what we’re all about!
I play and coach soccer! It had such an impact on my development as a child and I love to give that experience back to today’s youth. In addition, I still play in an adult women’s league and the women on my team are some of my best friends. It is really important to me for my son to see that mom (and other women) can succeed in sports too.
