Malvern, PA – August 22, 2022 – Historic Sugartown is proud to introduce their new Executive Director, Zack Biro, who starts on Monday, August 29, 2022.
Zack is originally from Bethlehem, PA, and has a Bachelor of Arts in History and Religious Studies as well as a Master of Arts in Public History from Lehigh University. He is passionate about storytelling and engaging audiences in dynamic ways to promote American History, education and preservation.
Before coming to Historic Sugartown, he worked in the Center for Applied History at the Science History Institute in Philadelphia and as a grant writer for the Mitzvah Circle Foundation in Norristown. Early in his career, Zack worked with Historic Bethlehem Museums and Sites, the Moravian Historical Society, and the Moravian Church Archives, all of which involved the care and preservation of historic structures and historic materials dating back to the 1740s. Zack shares “Historic Sugartown has such a rich history, and I’m excited to be part of its future. The land, structures and collections tell an immersive story of the village, and I’m looking forward to sharing more of that story with the community.” Zack currently lives in Wynnewood with his wife, Becky.
