Exton, PA  March 1, 2023 Grace Covenant has partnered with Lifeline Christian Mission to host a community-wide event on April 28 and 29 to address global food insecurity. The church is inviting the Exton community to help pack 50,000 shelf-ready meals that will be shipped to areas in the world where children and families suffer from malnutrition. The event will be spread over a 2-day period- from Friday night April 28 to Saturday April 29.  Volunteers may sign up for one or more 1 ½ hour time slots to pack. According to Tom Johnson, Director of Missions, “ As members of an affluent community, we all share the desire to reach out a hand to those who are truly in need.  We believe this event is one way we can be a blessing to our neighbors.” There is no cost to participate in the actual packing of the meals.

In addition to seeking volunteers to pack meals, the church is also seeking tax-deductible financial contributions to help underwrite the cost of the ingredients. There is no minimum level of support which can be made.  All contributions to this effort are tax-deductible and will be used only to cover the cost of ingredients. Donations can be mailed to Grace Covenant Church; 444 Creamery Way; Exton, Pa. 19341. For online contributions, access our website: www.gracecovenantepc.org/give Fund: Lifeline Food Packing

This event combines an opportunity for team building and community service. The church encourages company volunteers to sign up together, form teams, wear company logos, and participate in friendly  competition with other teams to achieve the goal of packing 50,000 meals. The church promises  memorable camaraderie, stimulating music, and great satisfaction for the “work” that is being done.
