Empower Physical Therapy Launches Innovative Online Coaching Program for Pelvic Health

Exton’s premier pelvic health therapists now providing personalized online coaching

EXTON, PA  —  Empower Physical Therapy has launched an innovative online coaching program to support women struggling with hormonal changes, incontinence, sexual dysfunction, and other challenges of the pelvic region, to reclaim and maintain their health and confidence.

Now offered in an on-demand format, expert techniques and exercises from board-certified Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist Rachel Miller can be accessed by patients any time, anywhere. The program provides tools to manage hormonal stages throughout a woman’s lifespan, with fewer symptoms and more confidence.

“Pelvic floor issues and symptoms of perimenopause and menopause are some of the most common but least-talked-about conditions,” Miller said. “Many of the women I work with are at a loss for where to turn. They are battling with hormonal changes, fatigue, sleepless nights, anxiety, and pelvic floor challenges such as urinary, digestive, or reproductive issues. And these are all accompanied by stigmas – pain, fear, embarrassment. But it doesn’t have to be this way.”

Since 2005, Miller and her team of certified therapists have offered pelvic floor therapy at their Exton, PA practice, with private rooms and a high degree of sensitivity and compassion. Miller has personally seen transformations in dozens of rehabilitated patients, but she knew the need extended beyond physical therapy.

“Patients need tools and information outside of the gym or the clinic to maintain balance within their changing bodies,” Miller said. “All therapists print out some PDFs and tip sheets to try to extend the learning, but with technology we can do better. Our new program is what’s missing in the pelvic health field.”

The 12-week program is a combination of self-paced online modules, a personalized coaching plan, and Zoom Meetings on Fridays at lunchtime. The program lays out a plan for women to get control over symptoms and pelvic floor issues that limit activity, from exercise and occupational skills, to fundamentals like sleep, sex, and how to implement a nutrient dense diet.

“The curriculum and guidance can take a patient from a place of fear and uncertainty, to a place of confidence and resilience,” Miller said.

Lauren F., a former pelvic floor patient and now coaching participant, describes it as life-altering. “I came into the program with an open and curious mind and have subsequently learned a great deal about myself… mind, body, and spirit. I have certainly learned about pelvic health, but this program covers so much more, more than I ever thought I needed to know.”

Miller has drawn upon over 23 years of therapeutic experience, and hours of interviews with dieticians, counselors, sex therapists and other professionals, to structure the curriculum into 9 modules that care for the whole patient’s continued healing: Breath Work and Exercise, Sleep, Posture and Body Mechanics, Osteoporosis, Bowel and Bladder, Nutrition and Hormones, Mindfulness and Meditation, Menstrual Cycle Regulation, and Sexual Health.

“After working with so many patients, and then becoming a Mom myself and experiencing pregnancy and labor, I’ve gathered so much knowledge about pelvic pain and hormonal changes,” Miller said. “I’m on a mission now, to help as many people as possible as early as possible, to take their lives and health back.”

Participation begins with a 20-minute consultation to explore if the program is right for you. To learn more and reserve a time to speak with Rachel Miller, visit: physicaltherapyempower.com/pelvic-health-coaching-program.
