On behalf of Rep. Houlahan, please be advised that our application process for Community Project Funding 2024 is open!

Last year, Chrissy proudly led our community’s initiatives through a rigorous vetting process and secured more than $10 million in needed funds for our community on a variety of projects.  Out of fifteen projects submitted to the Appropriations Committee, fourteen were selected and received the requested funding.

This year, each congressional office is once again permitted to submit up to fifteen projects.  Additionally, Chrissy has convened an independent board of community leaders to score the projects based on a variety of merits including:

  • Public benefit and need
  • Economic opportunity or job creation
  • Address imminent threats to public health, safety, or the environment
  • Promote equity and inclusion for underserved populations
  • Addresses the high rates of poverty and financial exclusion among low income communities

The application period will close on March 15th at 6:00pm EST.  Please visit our website for additional information.

Please be advised that the Republican majority controlled House Appropriations Committee has made some markable changes to Community Project Funding requests this year.  The previous two years, projects to be funded by Labor/Health and Human Services were allowed and funded.  For FY2024 Community Project Funding requests, funding is NOT available for Labor/Health and Human Services appropriations projects.  Please review information on our website to evaluate if your project meets the criteria via another appropriations designation.
