Chester County Council, BSA, is delighted to announce the distinguished selection of Dolores D. Hagerstrom as the inaugural recipient of the Lifetime Service Award

For more than 25 years, Ms. Hagerstrom’s enduring dedication has made a lasting impact on the Scouting landscape in Chester County Council. Notable among her exemplary leadership qualities is her many years spent on the Council Executive Board, her historic role as the first female Council President in 1997 and 1998, alongside her pivotal service as the Fund Development Chairman as she spearheaded the Capital campaign to build our headquarters on Rte. 30 in Exton. Her extensive service includes presiding over the East Whiteland Civic Association, holding roles as President, United Way Board Vice President, West Chester Area Senior Center Vice President, Freedom Valley Girl Scout Council Vice President, and Chairman of the Chester County Department of Aging Services.   Ms. Hagerstrom has received accolades such as the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award from the Chester County Council for exceptional service to youth and the community. Additional honors include the Winthrop Rockefeller Fundraising Award and the PA Governor’s Award for outstanding volunteer service.   “We feel the impact of Dolores’s contributions, ideas, and initiatives every day.
